Green Man Gaming (GMG) is Europe’s fastest growing online retailer of PC, console and online games. GMG offers over 4,000 titles from over 180 publishers including EA, Sega and Ubisoft.

GMG focuses on the ‘core gamer’, the 15% of gamers who contribute to 70% of games industry sales. Through the company’s proprietary trading system, gamers can trade in pre-owned games (both physical and digital) against new or used games. GMG also has a social network, Playfire, which allows gamers to review games, publish their best results and follow what their friends are doing. This activity provides significant data which is used by GMG for new and pre-owned games promotions.

GMG is currently selling games in 180 countries worldwide although the US is the single biggest market accounting for 40% of sales.

Established in 2010 by CEO Paul Sulyok, GMG employs over 60 people based in London.

Eden invested in GMG’s seed round in July 2010 remains GMG’s lead institutional investor. Other shareholders include notable angels such as Brent Hoberman, William Reeve, Michael Birch and Spiros Giamas.
