Huddle  /

Enterprise collaboration in the cloud

Huddle is a web-based, hosted SaaS application for online collaboration. Simply sign up online and invite people you want to work with (either internal to your organisation or external) to join you in 'a huddle'. You have then created an environment where you share documents together, prioritise and track tasks and communicate ideas. You can get updates and alerts as tasks are completed either via email or as an RSS feed.

Huddle competes against offerings from Microsoft and Box but is unique in its ease of use across the firewall, allowing easy collaboration out of the enterprise, and the security and control features that it provides. The company has partnerships with government procurement agencies such as FCOS in the UK and InQTel in the US.

Huddle is used by people in over 100,000 enterprises in more than 180 countries. Clients include agencies, brands, professional services firms and government departments such as PWC, NHS, NASA, US Department of Defense, BBC and Merck.

Established in 2006 by co-founders Alastair Mitchell (CEO) and Andy McLoughlin, Huddle employs over 140 people, is headquartered in San Francisco and has offices in London, New York and Washington. The board includes Charles McGregor as Chairman (founder and ex-CEO FibreNet) and Lyle Fong (co-founder Lithium).

Eden led in Huddle’s A round financing in 2007 and has continued to support the company in follow-on rounds. Matrix Partners invested in 2010 and Jafco & DAG Ventures led a C round in 2012.
